Tutorial On Setting Up Your Profile Page
The screen shot below is of my profile page, which I will be using in the examples to walk you through your editing options available for you to customize your own profile page. As you will see there is a menu just under your name.
The second line of that menu reads: Profile Apps (on the left) and Profile Designer (on the right). Proceed to the next screen shot to see what appears when you click on the Profile Designer link.

This screen shot shows you the Profile Designer menu options. This is where you can add an image for your background on your page if you want a different one from the default or instead of a picture you can change the background colors if you choose to in order to personalize your page. It is all up to you. After you save your style options, then the Profile Designer menu will close and you will be back on your page as we first saw it. There are still more features to show you to help personalize your profile page. Let's move on to the next screen shot, which shows your next step of customizing your profile page.

Below is the screen shot when you click on the Profile Apps link. I will walk you through choosing some apps so you can see how easy it is. For my first example, I am going to add a text box to my profile page. So, I click on the add app button on the text box option. Let's now move on to the next screen shot below this one to continue.
Note: You will notice that I have left the yellow arrow off of pointing to "My Groups" app. This is because we do not let our Teamwork team members create groups because we want to make sure the site stays focused and true to our Teamwork Entrepreneur education site mission and vision.

After clicking from the apps menu to add a text box, the following text box editor pops up. You will notice that you have a button on here that is titled, Switch To Rich Text Mode. This Text Box editor defaults to the HTML code screen where you type in HTML code for those who prefer to type in scripting code to design their pages. If you do not know HTML scripting code, then click on the "Switch To Rich Text Mode" to design your text box by clicking on icons, whereby the editor will automatically type in the HTML code in the background. You can always take a look at the HTML code if you click on the "Source" button. However, if you do not know how to use code correctly, look at what it looks like, but do not change anything the editor coded.

For my example, I am going to work in the "Rich Text Mode" because this is the one that is preferred by most people. You will see that there are formatting buttons where you can set left justify, center, or right justify, add an emoticon button, add an image button, add a YouTube video button, add a link button (You would click on this button after typing in text, highlighting it and once this button opens up you can type in a link to where you want that highlighted text to go to when someone clicks on it.). You can also easily choose your font style, color, and size and use the copy and paste buttons if you have text somewhere else that you want to add to your page here.
There is a box at the top under edit options where you can name your element on your page or you can leave this box blank, whichever you prefer. I have named mine for the example, My Favorite Quotes, so you can see what that will look like after this box is posted to my Profile page. Proceed to the next example page.

Below you will see that I have now typed in some of my favorite quotes and am ready to finish up and get the box posted to my Profile page. You will notice that you have two options before posting. One is a drop down menu titled, Who Can View This Element (aka: app). I have included an inset picture to show you what your choices are in the drop down menu. I have chosen "Anyone" and then all I have to do is click on the Update Element button and it will save my text box content and post it to my Profile page. Proceed to the next screen shot to see what it looks like on my page.

Below is my Profile page showing the text box I just created. You can see that the title displays above the text box in the lighter green bar at the top of the text box. Again you do not have to type in a title, you can leave it blank.
You can edit this text box anytime by mousing of the top right corner of the box and you will see edit and then click edit and make your changes to your text or add a few pictures between text, or delete something out of the text box. Whatever you choose to do to personalize the text box for your profile page. Proceed to the next example.

I am now going to go back to the links above my Profile picture and click on Profile Apps button again so I can walk you through placing another app on your Profile page.

I am now on the Profile Apps menu page again. For my next example, I am going to click on the "More Apps/Widgets" button.

Now, I have the Widgetbox.com widget menus page. Do not panic, if you click on the "More Apps/Widgets" button and you get this page, but with the white area where the thumbnails are blank. You will notice and I have pointed it out with a yellow arrow below that there is a menu with four choices on the left hand side of the page. By default, it always opens on the "Hottest Widgets" menu link and most of the time this link is blank. So if you get the blank page just click on one of the other link menu choices (Top Rated, Most Popular, or Newest Widgets). I have clicked on the Most Popular link and those are the thumbnails of the widgets available in the Most Popular category showing.
You will also notice that in the lower left under the thumbnails is a page menu to scroll through the several pages of Most Popular widgets. Also, in the lower right corner is the link to go directly to Widgetbox.com. You do not have to click on that link to add the app to your Profile page. I click on it because I have been a member of Widgetbox for years and I have a Pro account, which means that any widgets I install when logged into Widgetbox will not display ads on the widget. Remember Widgetbox, like Spruz, is open source, which means they earn revenue from their ads and not investors. Spruz displays ads on their free sites and all upgraded sites do not have ads. I give you this information so that you are well informed and you can make choices well informed.
The screen shot below shows page one and I went to page two and clicked on the widget titled, My Daily Bible Verse, widget. Proceed to the next screen shot.

The next screen that pops up after clicking on the widget thumbnail is your chosen widget's customization page. I have added inset pics to that page so you can see the menu choices openened up. I have also labeled each of the three steps you will go through to customize your widget to fit in with the design of your Profile page. Everything is self explanatory, so take a look at the page and then proceed to the next screen shot. I chose Spring Green, wide widget for my Profile page.

The next screen you will see after clicking on the "Get Widget" button is the popup showing the code (you have a choice of Java script code or Flash script code). Click on the green copy button and the next screen below this one will show that the code has been copied to your clipboard.

The widget should automatically post on your Profile page after you click the green copy button. If you are a member of Widgetbox and are logged in then you have another button after this step to click, which is entitled, Publish Widget (This is the first time you have published this widget anywhere) and Publish Change (You have already installed this widget on another Profile page somewhere.). Proceed to the next screen shot.

Now you can see the "Daily Bible Verse" widget I just added to my Profile page. Proceed to the next tutorial screen.

I will now show you how you can move your Profile page app boxes around on your page. The example I am going to use is moving my Friends box from the side page banner to above my newly added "Daily Bible Verse" app box.
All you need to do is mouse over that light green bar at the top of your Friends app box and when you mouse over it you will see a cross with arrow tips appear. I have inset a picture example of this for you to see what it will look like. Once this cross/arrow icon appears then click and hold down the left button on your mouse and keep it down until you drag the app box you are moving to where you want to place it before releasing the left mouse tab. I have inset a path of yellow arrows to show you where I am dragging my Friends box to on my page. Proceed to the next tutorial screen shot.

Below you will see that once I got to where I wanted to move my Friends box and I released the left mouse button that my Friends box is now in the new location.
Note: If you accidently (your finger slips) while you are dragging an app box to a new location and the box you were moving disappears from immediate sight, do not panic. Scroll around on your page to see where it dropped. Most of the time it will drop to the bottom of the page. After you find it just do the drag and drop steps again until you get it where you want it moved. Proceed to the next tutorial screen shot.

Below Profile Apps link and just above your profile picture is a link titled, Add New Picture, which you would click on to upload a new profile picture. Below your Profile Picture is another menu of choices:
1. Edit Your Information - this link will take you to the questions that you answered on your member application and you can update your information if you need to or add information if anything changes over time.
2. Edit Profile Settings - This is where you edit your privacy settings for your Profile page.
3. Notify Settings - This is where you set how often and what activities you want to be notified via email. For example, you want to be emailed when someone leaves a comment on your page, or a comment on your blog, etc.
The rest of the links are self explanatory: Change Email Address, Change Display Name, and Invite Friends.
