Habits of Successful Affiliate Marketers That Create Lasting Success

Promote products that address specific needs: While most fledgling affiliates focus on an Internet marketing vertical that they think will make them quick money, it’s important to consider products that cater to a huge variety of needs. Many successful affiliate marketers sell products that address a specific need or solve a problem. [Note:  As a Teamwork Member, the Qubeey affiliate product recommended to you solves several internet communications problems saving people valuable time by combining internet communications and social platforms in a single solution cube -  a Communications Mega-Hub.]

Promote widely:  Successful affiliate marketers use a wide range of marketing methods, such as auto-responder e-mail marketing, business blogs, impression and/or pay-per-click advertising—since various marketing methods work well with particular niche demographics.

[Note: Teamwork provides you with your own Teamwork auto-responder, when you reach Teamwork membership level four,  that is pre-loaded with Teamwork newsletter emails (free subscription) to build your own list.  The pre-written original content messages are scheduled to be spaced out just right to your list of people that have signed up from a simple sign-up form that builds relationship with your subscribers.  Teamwork also gives you a step-by-step guide of how to set up you new Teamwork auto-responder.

The Teamwork auto-responder messages were written by Teamwork Co-Owner Tim Green and announced on Teamwork Radio.  Please go and listen to past Teamwork Radio broadcasts to hear Tim talking about writing these messages from years of experience in internet/network marketing and these are in no way cookie cutter messages that we purchased. Tim is excellent at writing great original content that builds relationships with your list of subscribers to the Teamwork newsletter.

In addition, the Teamwork Auto-Responder has a marketing campaign store part in your back office to it where Teamwork provides you with other strategic shorter message campaigns that go with the product(s)/service(s) that we recommend to our team of Entrepreneurs.  Tim talked about writing these messages from his personal experience and from the heart on several Teamwork Radio shows.  Tim talked about the messages he wrote for the Teamwork auto-responder and how he set these messages up so that after several Teamwork newletter messages have gone out and established a trust and relationship with your list then there will be information about something else that Teamwork is involved in and is recommending to the Teamwork team that might be of interest to your Teamwork newsletter list that you are building.  There will be a short introduction to your subscribed list about other things Teamwork is doing and involved in and then there is a link for them to click on if they wish to learn more and subscribe to receive more messages about it.

Again, your readers have to opt in to receive any other campaign marketing emails that are mentioned and have subscribe links they have to click on in the Teamwork newsletter messages.  The Teamwork auto-responder is automatic and once someone in your list clicks on a link in one of the Teamwork newsletter messages then the auto-responder will automatically send out any additional other campaign that your reader/subscriber has opted in to receive.  They can opt out at any time as there are opt out links in every auto-responder message, as required by law.

The auto-responder is also set up that the first message your subscribers will always receive is another short message making sure they are opting in for the info and will have a confirmation link to continue that new subscription.  Spam laws require that your subscribers opt in and Teamwork has made sure that they double opt in and also that they are able to unsubscribe at any time easily via a link at the bottom of each message sent out by your Teamwork  auto-responder.

The Teamwork auto-responder is a privilege and not a right, as you will read in the policy that you will have to read and agree to when being assigned your free one.

You will notice after being assigned your Teamwork Auto-Responder that you have a back office with a (marketing) campaign store section.  This is where the different marketing campaign messages are stored that your subscribers opt in to receive including the parent Teamwork newsletter that they first sign up to receive.

Your readership always has the option to opt in and to opt out of what messages they receive and again, the messages are properly spaced out so not to bombard your list with too many messages too close together.  For example, when we were using WF3D there was an option to opt in to receive messages about WF3D.  This campaign is no longer available, but used here as an example.

The Teamwork auto-responder system is provided to you for free by the Teamwork Makes The Dream Work company co-owners.  This system is an expensive system and that is why we do not assign auto-responders to any membership level below 4.  We know that if you have been faithful and gone through the requirements of each Teamwork membership level and made it to level 4 membership then we know you are serious about sticking with the Teamwork Makes The Dream Work team, the marketing help and training we provide to you, the other marketing tools we provide, and the product(s) and/or service(s) that we recommend to our Teamwork team.

Teamwork Co-Owners have screened and filtered every tool and product(s) and or service(s) that we recommend to our team.  We make it about helping others to succeed.  We know at level 4 membership you have proven to us that you are serious about not jumping from opportunity to opportunity and are ready to stick with something and be a team player which earns you the reward of the Teamwork Auto-Responder, the Teamwork Step-By-Step guide, and the Teamwork Control Panel that goes with it.]

Promote Continually:  Successful affiliates promote continually and keep their business blog posts professional and uncluttered and updated on a regular basis.  They keep their solo ads and other ads updated and fresh.

Persevere through hardship:  Many novice affiliates tend to assume they cannot be successful if their initial attempts to promote products don’t go well. Nothing succeeds like perseverance. Stick with the effort and don’t allow early disappointment to deter you. Many of the most successful affiliate marketers have attained success after disappointing early results.  Never Give Up!  Giving up and jumping from one thing to the next and you are always starting.  Perseverence, Patience, and Follow Through will bring success.  If you owned a "brick and mortar" store and you had a week with low sales you would not close up, sell out, and then go open another business.  Why?  Because it makes no sense to do so -- it defies common sense.  All businesses, whether online or off, experience highs and lows and everything in between.  It is part of being in business.  Stay smart and stick with it.  You are already ahead of the game by being a team member of Teamwork Makes The Dream Work Entrepreneur Success Team where we help each other by providing the tools and guidance, encouragement and support, and are here with a great educational site of information and forums to help you succeed.

Test relentlessly:  Since your commissions depend on the links from your site to the publisher’s site working consistently, test everything and test regularly. Simulate a visitor’s journey from your site to the publisher’s site and make sure that the sign up page/order form displays your nickname as the affiliate. You should also test and tweak the language you use in your promotions to make sure it is compelling people to click on your link.

Make realistic claims for the product:  Refunds/Charge Backs are high when products don’t meet the claims made by the promotional material. By making extravagant claims for the product you may be able to get more people to buy the product initially, but this success is short-lived when customers end up refunding/charging back a product that doesn’t measure up.  Highly successful affiliate marketers make sure they are making realistic claims about the product by sticking to the vision, mission, and about this product words from the company that owns the product.
