| About Me | Hello, my name is Ann. I am an honor graduate from Morrison University - Northern Nevada Campus (B.A. Business Administration with Legal Specialty) and an honor graduate from University of Phoenix - Northern Nevada Campus (MBA). I have experience teaching and tutoring all ages in various subjects. I have 33 years experience working with children through various church owned Christian Kindergarten through 12th grade schools and as a teaching assistant in K through 6th grade private schools, and tutoring in after school programs help for students. While attending college and graduate school I tutored K through 6th graders matched up through the Universities I was attending. Additionally, I have also taught classes up to 30 students at various churches over the years in Sunday School, Vacation Bible Schools, as well as five years experience as Sunday School and Vacation Bible School Director. I love teaching and helping students learn. I am patient, intuitive to each individual student's learning method and creative in making each student's learning experience fun, engaging, and successful for the student. Each individual is unique and no two people learn in the exact same way. I am intuitive to each individual student and the way they comprehend and understand in learning and I customize the tutoring sessions accordingly for the best results from individual tutoring. Students who understand what they are learning are more confident and engaging in the classroom. When tutoring a child I determine their strengths and weaknesses in the subjects they are struggling in that made tutoring sessions necessary for their success in those subjects. Whether tutoring a student in test preparation, math, reading, spelling, writing, grammar, or study skills, my goal, in the best interest of each student, is helping each student I tutor develop a love and excitement for learning so they are successful. |
